MECC 2013 – International Conference and Advanced School Planet Earth, Mathematics of Energy and Climate Change, Portugal, 21-28 March 2013.

General

Organized By: The International Center of Mathematics CIM - Portugal

http://sqig.math.ist.utl.pt/cim/mpe2013/School_MECC

Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade Lisboa (FCUL) and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal. 03/21/13 - 03/28/13

Mathematics of Energy and Climate Change

The international conference will have around 10 keynote speakers and 20 thematic sessions with an approximated total of 100 speakers. The keynote speakers are top researchers in mathematics and science whose discoveries had a great impact in the progress of science. All the speakers will be top researchers, including promising young researchers, who already have major contributions in their fields of knowledge. Each thematic session will have an organizer and 2-4 speakers that can include the organizer. The thematic sessions will occur during the international conference and the corresponding advanced school.

CIM-MPE events were announced at:

–ICIAM newsletter January 2013
–EMS newslette March 2013

Thematic session organizers submissions (28 of February):

If you would like to organize a thematic session, please send an email with (i) the title of the session (ii) name and affiliations of yours session speakers to aapinto@fc.up.pt and to info.mpe2013@sqig.math.ist.utl.pt

Session talks submissions (28 of February):

If you would like to present a talk in a session, please send an email to aapinto@fc.up.pt and to  info.mpe2013@sqig.math.ist.utl.pt. Do not forget to register as well

REGISTRATION

School attendance:

The advanced school will consist of mini-courses (3-5 hours) given by some of the keynote speakers. If you would like to attend, please register.
