Mathematics of Planet Earth

The Second International Conference on Applied Mathematics and Informatics (ICAMI 2013) will be organized during November 24 – 29, 2013 in San Andres Island, Colombia. The conference is supported by the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM), the Colombia Section of SIAM, and will be sponsored by 13 Colombian universities.

ICAMI 2013 will be hosted by the community of Colombian scholars, engineers and other specialists working in the field of applied mathematics and its adjunct areas, informatics and computer sciences.

Within the frameworks of MPE2013 initiative, we seeks to inform the public about the essential role of the mathematical sciences in facing the challenges to our planet, and to encourage multidisciplinary research in identifying and solving fundamental questions about the Planet Earth.
